Patient Identity

ECURECARE combines multiple healthcare services into the same clinical data repository: this enables the opportunity to increase patient population growth to the data repository. On the other hand, practices that participate in the HIE program can also use the EMR/EHR services with the single sign-on feature.

Patient Identity solution generates a unique patient identifier from patients across different systems and organizations to the HIE.

E-MPI generation with just demographics is not reached to the point of closer reconciliation factor; it needs more attributes to reconcile in different situations. Additional Demographics add values to the E-MPI factor; however, a percentage of reconciliation gap still exists.

In order to do a meaningful reconciliation, we consider different factors based on situations, data types, face recognition, biometrics, and patient body mark identifier constants etc….

HIE multiple reconciliation supports one to many reconciliation logic; more than 15 reconciliation factors in the system help to identify duplicates and merge/link the records to prove the integrity of the data.

Key features

  • Avoid Duplicate Entry
  • Identify and auto merge existing duplicate entry
  • Possible matching factors to search for a patient record in the HIE (for example, in an ER setup, the Trauma patient can be searched without demographics with the advance technique of the patient identity factors)

Business Opportunities

  • Patient Duplicate removal is the major challenging factor for Hospitals, Organizations connected with the HIE will be alerted via data exchange or a list is generated when a patient duplicate is identified and automatically merged by the system. HIE triggers some sort of preferred data communication to the hospital team, alerts them about the patient duplicate indication and takes action against the duplicate (merge transactions). This overrides the potential manual reconciliation of duplicates to hospitals. If the hospitals participate in the HIE program they can utilize the ‘Patient Identity’ service of the HIE.
  • Urgent Care
  • Urgent care facilities can participate with the HIE; we provide an emergency access control to patients in the HIE if they are admitted to the ER department.

Trauma Patients Trauma patients’ identification is better handled with our approach; even in spite of the missing of demographics and advanced demographics during the Trauma hours, patient identity can be still reviewed in the HIE with the possible photo matching system, body markings identification and biometric services.

  • Insurance Carriers
  • Patient information is normalized and accessible simply by the HIE solutions to Insurance providers. Patient problems, allergies and treatment plans are captured across different systems and reconciled with the single patient identity.
